ImageTech Systems has released a migration utlility for IBM Workfolder Application Facility (WAF) and Content Manager iSeries customers to migrate to a new document imaging or ECM platform.

The migration utlility will work for all of IBM's iSeries based imaging systems including WAF, VisualInfo, and Content Manager. The migration utility allows for the export of documents and metadata.This program supports objects stored on local DASD as well as Optical Jukebox. Folder-level information can also be exported with the program. Configuration of the utlility can be set up to export all documents or administrator defined groups of documents. Optionally, the export utility can convert MO:DCA formatted documents to TIFF.

ImageTech Systems has built a high speed import program for IBM Content Manager 8.x. This enables customers to migrate documents quickly and efficiently into a new or existing IBM Content Manager 8.x system.

The import utility reads XML-based load files to ingest the documents into IBM Content Manager. Information about Item Types and attributes can be configured to ensure the documents are stored in the correct logical location with their respective metadata. The utility will load any files regardless of format.

ImageTech Systems has an export program for Microsoft SharePoint. This export program allows an organization using Microsoft SharePoint to do a bulk export of documents out to a network location and provide an XML file that outlines the metadata and taxonomy from the SharePoint system. The program can be configured to run against administrator defined Sites in SharePoint.
