Information enters a company in a variety of different ways (fax, paper, scanned from
MFP devices, etc.). Paper is already captured through the scanning process with Kofax
Capture. But what happens to other documents already in electronic form? To become
part of a business process they are usually either entered manually (printed
and scanned!) or manually imported into Kofax Capture. Both processes are time
consuming and create bottlenecks in an otherwise automated process.

Kofax Import Service from ImageTech automates the process of importing documents
from folders. Faxes, documents scanned at MFP devices or desktop scanners
and other documents sent to network folders can be automatically imported into Kofax
Capture for processing. Kofax Import Service will “watch” the designated folder
(and sub-folders) utilizing a configurable poling interval to bring documents into Kofax.
Any type of document imported from different sub-folders can be mapped to different
batch classes providing a flexible automation tool that is seamlessly integrated
with Kofax Capture.
